DADA 2016(2016)

In 2016, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Dadaism, the performance "Theater of the Three Divisions Revisited 1925-1927-2016" was staged. This work reinterprets the original Dadaist performance "Theater of the Three Divisions" by the Japanese Dada group Mavo, which was first performed in 1925 and 1927. The performance was reconstructed under the supervision of Professor Toshiharu Isozono of the University of Tsukuba, with costume design by Misato Kubo and direction by the Kawakami Laboratory of Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts. The costumes were inspired by the original Dadaist aesthetics, incorporating elements such as Lion board, wire, and lacquer spray.Materials and Techniques
