KONOHA Meeting(2003)
This work attempts to reconstruct the park as an environment we live in using everyday objects. Together with the people of Daikanyama, we collected leaves—familiar natural elements—and used them as units to form the landscape. These leaves were attached to existing structures such as fences and pergolas in the park, and in some places, they created canopies over trees from the Dōjunkai era. In doing so, a continuous band was formed where the roles of the leaves and the existing structures were intertwined and reversed. The park transformed into an enclosed space where the leaves, trees, and structures complemented each other. Eventually, the leaves were mailed to the children who had made them.
